Weather in October

  • 24.8°Caverage high, Puerto Ayora
  • 19.8°Caverage low
  • 21.7°Csea temperature (#10 of 12)
  • 9 mmtypical rain over 3.2 rainy days (one of the driest)

The cool season runs roughly June to November. October is drier at the coast, often grey and misty in the highlands, with southeasterly winds that make the sea choppier. The upwelling of cold, nutrient-rich water is what makes the marine life so active.

Compared with September (21.5°C sea) and November (22.3°C), October is warming up.
